Hunter 25

Built by Hunter

A 25 ft masthead sloop designed by John Cherubini/Bob Seidelmann, built from 1972 to 1983. She carries 8 ft beam, 3 ft 11 in draft and 4,400 lb displacement. Hull form is fin with rudder on skeg.

Narrow and short enough to trailer behind an ordinary vehicle without a permit, which is most of the appeal of a boat this size. Hunter built in Alachua, Florida and aimed at volume production cruising boats with generous accommodation for the length. They are plentiful and affordable on the used market, and the brand continued as Marlow-Hunter after 2012. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
