J/35
Built by J/Boats
A 35 ft 6 in masthead sloop designed by Rodney S. Johnstone, built from 1983 to 1992. She carries 11 ft 10 in beam, 6 ft 11 in draft and 10,500 lb displacement. Hull form is fin with a spade rudder. About 330 were built.
One of the most successful racer-cruisers of the 1980s, with a long one-design career and a reputation for being quick in a breeze. J/Boats were founded in Rhode Island in 1977 by Rod and Bob Johnstone, and their designs have defined one-design keelboat racing in America ever since. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
