A 15 ft double-ended sail-and-oar boat by John C. Harris of Chesapeake Light Craft, blending British and Scandinavian working craft with some Swampscott dory. The LapStitch plywood hull weighs about 95 lb, light enough to cartop, with a 54 in beam, 450 lb payload, two rowing stations, a daggerboard and a push-pull tiller. Three rigs are offered: sprit, balanced lug and a 78 sq ft gunter sloop. Sold as a kit or plans.
CLC calls it an ideal first boat, needing only sawhorses, clamps, a plane, a drill and a sander, with no mold or lofting. CLC's estimate is 120 hours; budget 120 to 200 with a sailing rig. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
