An 8.0 m (26 ft 3 in) radius chine plywood trailer sailer by Dudley Dix and his most popular small keelboat, with well over 100 plan sets sold. Light displacement is about 1,000 kg, sail area 343 sq ft, and the keel can lift or be fixed at 1.7 m draft. Two rigs and two cockpit lengths are drawn, and pre-cut kits and foils are sold.
Keel loads go into plywood bulkheads and the keel box, and the backbone and bulkheads assemble egg-crate style. Dix rates it within amateur abilities, and one builder quoted on the page found it easier than expected. Budget roughly 1,500 to 2,200 hours.
