20 ft V Hull 600
Designed by Response Marine
A 20 ft 1 in by 8 ft 3 in welded aluminum fishing skiff, the length measured with its outboard bracket. The first one was being built by a fabricator on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, as a durable and economical boat for the local waters.
She is a heavier-plated boat than the smaller Response vees, with a quarter-inch bottom over 0.190 in girders, 3/8 in chine flats and deadrise of 14.5 degrees at the transom rising to 47 at the cutwater. The bare hull with console is about 2,430 lb and the rigged boat about 3,340 lb with an outboard of 150 to 200 hp. A study package is published along with the main views, and the kit itself is the usual single-hull NC cutting file licence with construction drawings and stock lists.
What building a 20 ft V Hull 600 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
