Model boat kit

DN Iceboat

Kit by Dumas

The DN is a small one design iceboat class sailed on runners. Its name comes from the Detroit News, which sponsored the 1937 design contest that produced it, and it is now the most widely sailed iceboat class in the world, with a hull about 12 feet long on three runners.

Dumas' all wood static kit is built from mahogany and birch plywood covered in mahogany veneer, with sails and rigging included. The model is 19.5 in long and 22.5 in tall.
