Model boat kit
Bluenose Canadian Schooner
Kit by Model Shipways
Bluenose was a Grand Banks fishing schooner built in Nova Scotia in 1921 that also raced in the fishermen's schooner series. She was wrecked on a reef off Haiti in 1946, and a replica was launched in 1963.
The 1:64 kit uses laser-cut basswood bulkheads planked with basswood strips, with plans by Ben Lankford drawn from research by Erik A. R. Ronnberg Jr.
What building a Bluenose Canadian Schooner actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
