Catalina 36

Built by Catalina Yachts

A 36 ft 4 in masthead sloop designed by Frank Butler, built from 1982. She carries 11 ft 11 in beam, 5 ft 10 in draft and 13,500 lb displacement. Hull form is fin with a spade rudder.

One of the most popular 36 footers ever built in America, and a common step up for owners moving on from a Catalina 30. Catalina have built in California and Florida since 1969 and are the largest American sailboat builder. Their boats are made in big numbers to a sensible price, which means parts, sails and owner knowledge are all easy to find. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
