Pearson 365
Built by Pearson
A 36 ft 5 in masthead sloop designed by William Shaw, built from 1976 to 1982. She carries 11 ft 5 in beam, 4 ft 6 in draft and 17,700 lb displacement. Hull form is fin with rudder on skeg.
A ketch-rigged cruiser drawn for passage making, and one of the boats Pearson is best remembered for. Pearson Yachts of Rhode Island were among the first to build sailboats in fiberglass, starting with the Triton in 1959. The company closed in 1991, so every Pearson is now a restoration candidate, and most are well worth restoring. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
What building a Pearson 365 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
