Production model
Hunter 240
Built by Hunter
A 24 ft 1 in fractional sloop designed by Hunter Design, built from 1997 to 2005. She carries 8 ft 3 in beam, 5 ft 6 in draft and 3,600 lb displacement. Hull form is swing keel.
Narrow and short enough to trailer behind an ordinary vehicle without a permit, which is most of the appeal of a boat this size. Hunter built in Alachua, Florida and aimed at volume production cruising boats with generous accommodation for the length. They are plentiful and affordable on the used market, and the brand continued as Marlow-Hunter after 2012. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
