Hunter 28
Built by Hunter
A 28 ft fractional sloop, built from 1989 to 1994. She carries 10 ft 6 in beam, 3 ft 9 in draft and 7,400 lb displacement. Hull form is wing keel.
The wing keel trades some upwind bite for draft, which matters more in thin water than it does on a racecourse. Hunter built in Alachua, Florida and aimed at volume production cruising boats with generous accommodation for the length. They are plentiful and affordable on the used market, and the brand continued as Marlow-Hunter after 2012. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
