Pearson Triton
Built by Pearson
A 28 ft 4 in fractional sloop designed by Carl Alberg, built from 1958 to 1967. She carries 8 ft 3 in beam, 3 ft 11 in draft and 6,930 lb displacement. Hull form is long keel.
The boat that proved fiberglass could build a serious cruising yacht, and the first keelboat Pearson made. Carl Alberg drew her, several hundred were built, and a great many are still sailing and still being restored. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
What building a Pearson Triton actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
