Pearson 35

Built by Pearson

A 35 ft masthead sloop designed by William Shaw, built from 1968 to 1982. She carries 10 ft beam, 7 ft 6 in draft and 13,000 lb displacement. Hull form is keel and centerboard. About 515 were built.

A Bill Shaw cruiser from Pearson's strongest years, well regarded for her balance of accommodation and sea manners. Pearson Yachts of Rhode Island were among the first to build sailboats in fiberglass, starting with the Triton in 1959. The company closed in 1991, so every Pearson is now a restoration candidate, and most are well worth restoring. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
