A 20 ft outboard cruiser for a couple by Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs, with two bunks forward and room for a portable head. Beam is a trailerable 7 ft 1 in, deadrise 12 degrees and trailering weight 1,700 to 1,800 lb. It was designed to cruise at about 15 mph on 25 hp using 1.5 gallons an hour, though most builders now fit 40 to 60 hp. Plans and a CNC kit are offered.
The plywood hull is built over a jig that mostly stays in the boat. Not an introductory boat, B&B says, though the kit puts it within reach of a competent amateur. Budget 1,200 to 2,000 hours as a rough guide. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
