20 ft V Hull 559
Designed by Response Marine
A 20 ft by 8 ft vee hull built by Brendan Stamps at One3 Powerboats and by White Metal Welding, closely related to the company's well-regarded 22 ft by 8 ft design. The difference is the sheer: a changed profile curve and a pipe detail where the bulwark meets the topside, which looks good but adds time and difficulty, and which the designers note can easily be returned to a conventional joint.
Bottom plate is quarter-inch over girders, sides 0.190 in, and the deadrise runs 14.5 degrees at the transom, 22.5 at station 4 and 44 at the cutwater. The bare hull with consoles weighs about 2,191 lb and the boat about 3,049 lb rigged with a 150 hp. The kit is NC cutting files for one hull plus drawings and lists, suited to a builder who wants a fast, finished-looking center console.
