Model boat kit
Norden
Kit by Billing Boats
Norden represents the beach launched fishing boats built from about 1930 in the Danish villages of Klitmoeller and Vorupoer. That stretch of the Jutland coast has no harbour, so the boats are run up the beach and hauled clear of the surf by winch.
The 1:30 kit is a small model with a wooden hull, 34.5 cm long. It is rated Beginner, the first of Billing's four experience levels, and is often suggested as a first kit.
What building a Norden actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
