Model boat kit
HMS Cruiser
Kit by Caldercraft
Cruiser gave her name to the largest class of sailing warship, more than a hundred brig rigged sloops built between 1797 and 1815 for escort and convoy work. The class carried sixteen 32 pounder carronades and two long 6 pounders, and its ships served in every theatre of the Napoleonic Wars.
The kit is 1:64 scale with a double plank on bulkhead hull, CNC cut walnut parts and hemp rigging. The model is 850 mm long, and Caldercraft says it suits a novice or intermediate builder.
What building a HMS Cruiser actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
