Super Sport

Built by Boston Whaler

The small end of the Whaler range and the direct descendant of the 13 ft boat Dick Fisher launched in 1958. Tiller or small console, light enough to tow behind anything, and the boat most people picture when they picture a Whaler.

Every Whaler is built the same way, with foam injected between an inner and an outer fiberglass skin so the hull is structural and buoyant at once. That is why a swamped one floats, and it is also the thing to check on an older boat: foam that has taken on water adds hundreds of pounds and does not dry out, so weigh the hull rather than trusting the look of it.
