Catalina 30
Built by Catalina Yachts
A 29 ft 11 in masthead sloop designed by Frank Butler, built from 1976 to 2008. She carries 10 ft 10 in beam, 5 ft 3 in draft and 10,200 lb displacement. Hull form is fin with a spade rudder.
One of the most successful cruising sailboats ever built, and the boat that made Catalina. Roomy for her length, easy to sail short-handed, and supported by a large owner association. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
What building a Catalina 30 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
