J/70
Built by J/Boats
A 22 ft 9 in fractional sloop designed by Alan Johnstone, built from 2012. She carries 7 ft 5 in beam, 4 ft 11 in draft and 1,790 lb displacement. Hull form is fin with a transom-hung rudder. About 1,100 were built.
A modern sport boat one-design that grew faster than almost any keelboat class before it, helped by being light enough to tow behind an ordinary car. J/Boats were founded in Rhode Island in 1977 by Rod and Bob Johnstone, and their designs have defined one-design keelboat racing in America ever since. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.

Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
