Production model
OTCA
Built by Old Town Canoe
Old Town's best-known model and the canoe most people mean by a wood-canvas canoe. Cedar planking over steam-bent ribs with canvas stretched over it and filled. Old Town kept build records, so a serial number on the stem will tell you the year it was made and what it was fitted with, which is a luxury no other restoration here offers.
What building a OTCA actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.

If you are building one, yours becomes the reference: the page the next person building this boat finds when they search for it. One photo and one line is a valid first entry.
