A 22 ft trailerable cat ketch sharpie by Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs, first drawn for Chick Ludwig of Princess Marine, who wanted a light boat to singlehand. Beam is 7 ft 2 in, draft 1 ft with the board up, working sail 210 sq ft, ballast 400 lb and displacement 1,900 lb. A vee bottom replaces the usual flat sharpie floor, and a shallow keel lets it work to windward in 12 in of water. The offset centerboard keeps the cabin clear.
Apart from the keel batten the hull is stitch and glue with no lofting, and the designer says it requires no special skills or tools. Budget 1,200 to 2,000 hours as a rule of thumb. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
