A 17 ft 6 in strip-planked tandem by Nick Schade, sold as plans and kits by Chesapeake Light Craft. Schade combined the rolled sheer and long tapering stern of George Crouch's 1924 speedboat Baby Bootlegger with the decked double-paddle canoes of J. Henry Rushton. The result is a roomy boat for cruising lakes and bays, with one 80 in cockpit for two that can also be paddled solo. Beam is 27 in, hull weight 42 lb and maximum payload 450 lb.
CLC rates it advanced and estimates 180 hours. The wrap-around deck that blends into the sides is the demanding part of the stripping. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
