An 8.95 m (29 ft 4 in) radius chine plywood trailer sailer by Dudley Dix, a Didi 26 restyled for classic fleets. It gains a counter stern, bulwarks that lift the sheer forward, and a boxier traditional cabin. Rig choices are a Marconi sloop of 496 sq ft, a cruising gaff rig, or a larger racing gaff rig of 549 sq ft. Displacement is 1,500 kg, with a lifting or fixed keel drawing 1.7 m, and long or short cockpit layouts.
It was commissioned by an owner planning to build from a CKD Boats kit, and the plywood method is aimed at amateur builders. The compound curved cabin roof adds some work. Budget roughly 1,800 to 2,600 hours. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
