A 42 ft fishing trawler and workboat from Glen-L Marine with an 850 cu ft hold for an 8 to 10 ton load, 700 gallons of fuel and 10 knots on a single 145 hp diesel. Aimed at the amateur or a small yard: multi-diagonal plywood or solid wood over heavy frames and longitudinals, glass-sheathed, or one-off fiberglass. Glen-L publish a beam of 15 ft 3 in and a hull depth of 9 ft 9 in.
Displacement is 25,600 lb. Headroom below is 6'-3" min. to 6'-7". The hull is a semi-displacement, hard chine with bulbous bow and reverse curve at chine forward. Efficient speed range to 10 knots. A commercial-scale hull. Expect 5,000 hours or more. Real hours from logged builds appear below.
