Czarinna 43
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 42 ft 3 in stretched version of Sam Devlin's Czarinna 35, a long, narrow fantail cruiser for a live-aboard couple or a family on extended trips. Layout runs from a large aft cockpit through a saloon with head, separate shower, dinette, fireplace and galley to a pilothouse with 7 ft headroom, then down to a private forward cabin. A single 100 hp diesel or twin 44s give 10 knots on 2 to 3 gallons an hour, with up to 1,000 nautical miles of range at 19,400 lb loaded.
Offered as study plans and as a custom Devlin build. Far beyond a first project; as a rough rule of thumb, allow 8,000 hours or more. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
What building a Czarinna 43 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
