Model boat kit
Smit Rotterdam
Kit by Billing Boats
Smit Rotterdam is a 75 m ocean going salvage tug built in 1975 for the Dutch company Smit International, with 22,000 hp. She and her sister Smit London were built to tow oil rigs and disabled ships across oceans and were among the most powerful tugs of their time.
The 1:75 kit builds a 90 cm model with a wooden hull. Billing Boats rates it Expert, the top step of its four experience levels.
What building a Smit Rotterdam actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
