Model boat kit
Nordkap
Kit by Billing Boats
Nordkap is a North Sea trawler built in England in 1970, 40 m long, that fished the grounds around Iceland and Greenland. Trawlers of her kind worked far northern waters for weeks at a time, bringing the catch home on ice.
The kit is drawn from the original ship plans and builds a 1:50 model with a wooden hull, 81 cm long, supplied with a photo manual. Billing rates it for experienced builders, the third of its four levels.
What building a Nordkap actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.

If you are building one, yours becomes the reference: the page the next person building this boat finds when they search for it. One photo and one line is a valid first entry.
