Model boat kit
Lackawanna
Kit by Bluejacket
Lackawanna was a seagoing tug of 1900 that towed coal barges from Pennsylvania to ports in the Northeast and South. She was painted white to show off her clean-burning anthracite, which gave her an unusually yacht-like look for a workboat.
The 1:96 kit (K1002) has a carved basswood hull, a photo-etched brass pilothouse and deck plates, and cast fittings.
What building a Lackawanna actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
