Model boat kit
Maine Lobster Boat
Kit by Midwest
The Maine lobster boat developed after the First World War, once reliable gasoline engines replaced sail and older types such as the Friendship sloop.
The 3/4 inch scale kit (No. 991) uses laser-cut basswood and mahogany parts with cast metal fittings and includes materials for two lobster traps. It is designed for display, and an RC combo pack is sold separately.
What building a Maine Lobster Boat actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
