Model boat kit
Hermione La Fayette
Kit by Artesania Latina
Hermione was a French frigate built at Rochefort that carried the Marquis de La Fayette to America in 1780 to support the colonists in the War of Independence; a full size replica begun in 1997 repeated the voyage in 2015.
The 1:89 kit was drawn from the original plans and uses laser cut plywood, birch veneer, wood and brass parts and photo etched brass. Sewn cotton sails and a display base are supplied, with digital instructions only.
What building a Hermione La Fayette actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
