Model boat kit
Winter Harbor Lobster Boat
Kit by Dumas
The Winter Harbor is Dumas' version of a classic Maine lobster boat, named after a fishing village on the Schoodic Peninsula Down East. Boats of this type have a long, low hull with a small cabin forward and an open working deck aft, detailed here with a console, davit, pot hauler and traps.
The 1:16 kit builds a 31 in model with balsa planking over laser cut plywood frames and can be fitted for radio control.
What building a Winter Harbor Lobster Boat actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
