Model boat kit
USS Constitution
Kit by Bluejacket
USS Constitution is the 44-gun frigate designed by Joshua Humphreys and launched in 1797, known as Old Ironsides after the War of 1812.
Bluejacket's 1/8 inch scale kit (K1018) shows her as she was from 1812 to 1815. It has a carved basswood hull that is solid to the gundeck with two decks to fit out, over 2,600 fittings, photo-etched brass and resin boats.
What building a USS Constitution actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
