Model boat kit
HMS Diana
Kit by Caldercraft
Diana was an Artois class frigate launched at Rotherhithe in 1794, later sold to the Dutch Navy and destroyed by fire in 1839.
The kit shows her as refitted in 1796 at 1:64 scale, with a double plank on bulkhead hull of CNC-cut timber, brass 18 and 9 pounder cannon and about 2,300 copper hull plates.
What building a HMS Diana actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
