Model boat kit
Paranza
Kit by Corel
The paranza was a sailing fishing boat typical of the central Adriatic coast of Italy, between the mouth of the Savio and the Gargano. Paranze usually fished in pairs, towing a single net between two boats, and carried lug sails often painted with the owning family's colours and emblems.
Corel's 1:25 kit (SM45) is a reconstruction based on surveys and photographs of boats from the 1940s to the 1960s. The finished model is 340 mm long and 510 mm high.
What building a Paranza actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
