MacGregor 26M
Built by MacGregor
A 25 ft 10 in sailboat designed by Roger Macgregor, built from 2003 to 2014. She carries 7 ft 9 in beam, 5 ft 9 in draft and 4,000 lb displacement. Hull form is daggerboard. About 5,000 were built.
The later powersailer, same idea as the 26X with a revised hull and rig. MacGregor built light, cheap, trailerable sailboats in California for forty years, and sold more trailerable sailboats than anyone. Build quality is modest and the value for money was extraordinary. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
