Production model

Precision 21

Built by Precision

A 20 ft 9 in fractional sloop designed by Jim Taylor, built from 1986 to 2019. She carries 8 ft 3 in beam, 4 ft 8 in draft and 1,875 lb displacement. Hull form is keel and centerboard.

Narrow and short enough to trailer behind an ordinary vehicle without a permit, which is most of the appeal of a boat this size. Precision Boat Works build in Palmetto, Florida, making trailerable daysailers and small cruisers with a reputation for sailing better than their price suggests. The figures below come from owners who logged work on this boat here.
