Belhaven 19

Designed by Graham Byrnes

A 19 ft pocket cruiser from Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs, developed from the Core Sound series for sailors who asked for a cabin. Stitch and glue plywood with a cat ketch rig of 164 sq ft, about 1,100 lb with variable ballast drawn at 300 lb, and a draft of 9 in with the board up. The offset centerboard leaves the cabin open for three berths and a small galley.

B&B's butterfly hull assembly needs no lofting or building jig, and the designer says an inexperienced builder can make a good job of it. Budget 1,000 to 1,600 hours as a rough guide. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
