Catspaw Pram

Designed by Graham Byrnes

A family of pram tenders by Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs, the first built in 1979. Sizes run from the 6 ft 6 in Minipaw (38 to 45 lb, oars only) through the Catspaw 7, 8 and 9, and the 8 ft and 9 ft boats also sail, with 36 or 45 sq ft in a bermudian or sprit rig, and take a 2 to 3 hp motor. Two-Paw nesting versions stow in about half their length on deck.

These are small boats with few parts, and one plans package covers the range. Budget roughly 40 to 80 hours for a rowing version, and more for a sailing rig or a nesting hull. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
