Dynamo Too 45
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 45 ft ocean-going cruiser study by Sam Devlin, stretched from his Dynamo Too 38, which was his stitch and glue version of William Garden's 38 ft Dynamo. The four-sheet study plan shows two variants, a powerboat and a motorsailer, and the Devlin site suggests the motorsailer could take a family of four to six around the world.
Study plans are all that is available, and no dimensions beyond the nominal length are published. Building one would mean commissioning full plans, then a very large project for an experienced builder. As a rough rule of thumb, allow 10,000 hours or more. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
What building a Dynamo Too 45 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
