Kokanee 43
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 43 ft 4 in displacement cruiser by Sam Devlin, a small version of the Northwest halibut schooner type and intended for stitch and glue construction. The dinette and galley are up in the pilothouse, which leaves a private forward cabin with an island double berth, fireplace and vanity. Beam is 12 ft 4 in, draft 58 in and displacement 28,000 lb, with a 145 hp inboard diesel.
It is available as study plans and as a custom build from the Devlin shop, so construction drawings must be arranged with the designer. It is a very large amateur project. As a rule of thumb, expect 10,000 hours or more. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
What building a Kokanee 43 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
