Peregrine 36
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 35 ft 10 in cruising sloop by Sam Devlin, drawn low and lean for the Northwest and Northeast coasts. A glazed raised doghouse gives all-round visibility from the galley and chart table, and a two-level cockpit has sheltered forward seats set 9 in lower. Beam is 10 ft 6 in, draft 6 ft on a stainless fin with a lead bulb, and a 15 hp diesel saildrive. It sleeps up to five.
The multi-chine, nearly round hull is stitch and glue plywood cold molded to 1 in thick and sheathed in glass. Only study plans are listed, and Devlin builds it to order. An experienced builder should allow 5,000 hours or more as a rule of thumb. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
What building a Peregrine 36 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
