Didi Cruise-Mini Mk3

A 6.5 m (21 ft 4 in) radius chine plywood mini cruiser by Dudley Dix, the cruising version of his Didi Mini Mk3 with its broader stern and topside chine. Like the earlier Cruise-Mini it takes the Didi 26 lifting keel for 0.8 to 1.6 m of draft, or a 2.0 m fixed keel, and adds an enclosed heads and a more comfortable interior. The cruising rig sets 343 sq ft on a light displacement of about 1,000 kg, with 3.0 m of beam.
The build is the same as the racing Mk3 apart from the cruising changes, and pre-cut kits are offered through the usual suppliers. It suits an amateur with some woodworking experience. Budget roughly 1,500 to 2,200 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
