A 25 ft 11 in St. Pierre dory from Glen-L Marine, the Grand Banks fishing dory in sheet plywood: two layers of half-inch on the bottom, flaring topsides, a small cuddy for two. The plans detail the traditional haul-up shaft inboard, a conventional inboard, or a well-mounted outboard that tilts clear for beaching, 5 to 30 hp.

Dory construction is about the simplest way to build a 26-footer. Budget 700 to 1,200 hours over one to three years. Real hours from logged builds appear below.
