Ultra Pierre
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 26 ft trailerable St. Pierre dory from Glen-L Marine in plywood over wood framing, drawn in sail and power versions. Wider than most St. Pierre plans, with internal ballast and a steel-plate centerboard so it beaches and launches easily; the sail version carries a full sloop rig, and the power version offers a kick-up outboard well or two inboard drive options.
Dory construction keeps a 26-footer within an amateur's reach. Budget 800 to 1,400 hours over two to four years. Real hours from logged builds appear below.
What building a Ultra Pierre actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
