A 7.5 m trailerable cruiser-racer by Cristian Pilo of Modern Wooden Boat, 8.00 m overall, developed from the hull lines of his Petrel 28 with flatter aft sections. It can be finished as a sporty weekender or a small family cruiser, with regatta or cruise sail plans (37.9 square metres in regatta trim), a lifting keel with a lead bulb drawing 0.52 to 1.78 m, and up to 1.82 m headroom in the 2020 plan version. Light displacement is 1,500 kg on a 2.50 m beam.
Construction is radius chine plywood with solid wood and epoxy, and the designer rates the drawings for beginner to intermediate home builders. The steel keel fin needs welding. Expect 1,500 to 2,500 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
