A 5 ft 7 in (1.7 m) stowing dinghy from Woodenwidget, shaped so its wide stern sits over a yacht's cabin top, with an optional removable bow section for the smallest decks. It rows, takes an outboard up to 3.3 hp, sails on a modified Optimist rig, and can be pedalled with a Hobie Mirage Drive. It weighs about 30 kg assembled and carries two adults or 150 kg.
Stitch and glue plywood held with cable ties, with no screws in the hull and no patterns or offsets to plot. The designer says basic woodworking skills and a jigsaw are enough, and that a Deckster with all the options should take about 40 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
