A very small plywood dinghy by Sam Devlin, shown on the site as the Sanddab 6.5 and listed at 6 ft 3 in long with a 3 ft 10 in beam. It was drawn in 2021 for a boat owner who wanted a compact, light ship-to-shore tender that one or two people could use while cruising. Dry weight is 48 lb and draft 4.5 in, so it is easy to lift aboard and stow.
The designer calls it easy to build and suitable for a novice as much as for a seasoned sailor who just needs a tender. Study and construction plans are sold. Budget 30 to 60 hours as a rule of thumb. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
