Plystream
Designed by Benjy
Not a boat: the Plystream is a two-berth caravan from Woodenwidget, 3 m long and 1.7 m wide, built on a small unbraked trailer of 500 kg gross capacity. It weighs about 300 kg unladen with a 200 kg payload, and the curved shape is there to cut drag. Inside are 185 cm of headroom, two settee berths that convert to a wide double, a table, a small galley and rear loading for long items such as a dinghy or bicycles.
The insulation forms part of the structure and the body is built directly on the trailer. The designer calls it a bit harder than his other designs, though still a basic-tools job. No build time is given. Any builds logged here appear below.
What building a Plystream actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
