Lincolnville Wherry
Kit by Bluejacket
The Lincolnville wherry was a Penobscot Bay rowing boat used in the 1800s to tend salmon nets and bring the catch ashore, built with thin lapstrake planking on curved cedar ribs.
Bluejacket's 1 inch scale kit (KLW206) is based on a surviving wherry in the Penobscot Marine Museum at Searsport, Maine.
What building a Lincolnville Wherry actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
